Over the 30 years of our company’s history, we have gained experience, carried out multiple investment projects and have significantly developed our activity, becoming a leader among private natural gas distributors in Poland.
Until 2022, the company G.EN. GAZ ENERGIA carried out trade and distribution activities within the scope of natural gas deliveries, however due to exceeding the statutory values within the scope of annual sales of gas, these activities must be separated.
The company G.EN. Operator was established after the division, and remains separate from other activities, including trading activities.
G.EN Operator sp. z o.o. has taken over the tasks related to gas distribution, and the responsibility for the security of the gas system, its development, maintenance and use.

As a result of the organisational transformation in VNG Group, VNG Polska sp. z o.o. which manages the Polish assets of VNG Group, became the owner of G.EN. GAZ ENERGIA.

The company continued to develop exceptionally dynamically in the years that followed. To increase its share in the Polish natural gas market, the company systematically carried out infrastructure investments and merged with entities with a similar profile of activity. It merged with Zakład Usług Gazowniczych LOKGAZ and acquired 100% of shares in the capital of Gaz Technologia i Energia sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Szczecin.
15 900 gas customers
2005 proved to be a turning point in the company’s history. PETRICO moved the seat of the management board to Poznań which is situated in the central part of the company’s business area. The name of the company also changed to G.EN GAZ ENERGIA S.A., which is identified with the scope of activity and internationally understood.
During the first half of the year, the VNG company took over 100% of shares in G.EN. GAZ ENERGIA.
The VNG company became a PETRICO shareholder. The company thus became a part of VNG group – an international energy corporation

The history of G.EN Operator company started in 1991 in Karlin. The PETRICO company started at the same time, and specialised in the distribution and sales of gas in the West Pomerania Voivodeship.

Compliance Program of G.EN. Operator Sp. z o. o. has been approved by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office by decision no. DRR.WRD.743.3.2023.ZJ of January 20, 2023.
The Compliance Program has been prepared to implement the obligation under Art. 9d item 4 of the Energy Law.
The purpose of the Program is to ensure non-discriminatory treatment of users and potential users of the distribution system as well as to determine the obligations of employees and service providers resulting from this program.
G.EN. Operator is obliged to eliminate events and behaviors that may lead to discrimination or unequal treatment of system users.
In order to implement and monitor the compliance with the provisions of the Program G.EN. Operator has appointed a Compliance Officer.
